Double chocolate brownie points to the genius who thought this one up...
This woman is 51.
She is a TV “health guru” advocating a holistic approach to nutrition and ill health, promoting exercise, a pescetarian diet high in organic fruits and vegetables.
She recommends detox diets colonic irrigation and supplements, also making statements that yeast is harmful, that the colour of food is nutritionally significant, and about the utility of lingual and faecal examination.

She is a TV cook, who eats nothing but meat, butter and deserts.
So forget “join a gym and eat more celery”. This Christmas, it's food and booze all the way. And the only exercise you need is dancing.

I am nearly 55 and probably about 8 stone overweight. Thank you for posting these pictures. Whilst I would love to be the size Nigella is, and as gorgeous, I am sooooo glad I am not skinny, wrinkly and unhealthy looking like G McK.
ReplyDelete:)
Nigella is how a healthy woman should look - not like Gillian McKeith!
ReplyDeleteit's unfair to post a picture of Gillian withut any make up, air brushing etc which obviously been done to Nigella's photo
ReplyDeleteEva
I agree with Eva - I'm sure that Nigella has been thoroughly 'made over' before appearing in this photo.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I agree with the spirit behind this feature - I would rather eat with Nigella than with Gillian!
Yes, Eva, but all the airbrushing in the world wouldn't make G McK as sexy and voluptuous as Nigella.
ReplyDeleteHooray, Ladies! Thanks for the post -- definitely puts things into perspective.
ReplyDeleteLOVE THIS! Just shows what a bit of butter can do for our wrinkles!
ReplyDeleteI am so anti Gillian McKeith you would not beleive it!! I loved this
ReplyDeleteActually, I am really disappointed with this article. I thought BC is not about food preferences and looks. We should embrace our differences with a bit more respect for each other, or do we have to listen to how the media (in this case the recent reality show that portrayed Gillian) dictate how a (sexy) woman should look?
ReplyDeleteBesides, that article just does that... it starts with a question but its content is more than obviously suggesting favouritism.
I understand the comparison but am saddened by it. I find the point hypocritical and bitchy. I thought Beyond Chocolate was beyond seeing women as mere objects but as people with thoughts feelings and emotions. Gillian may have been a bit hystrerical in the jungle but dont diss her - you of all organisations should know we all have our points of distress.
ReplyDeleteJust for the record, neither of us has ever watched an episode of the Jungle thingy as watch very little TV. The above is not an 'article' - it is an amusing email doing the rounds which so many Beyond Chocolaters forwarded to us we thought it would be a bit of fun to share with everyone. As usual, apologies if we have offended anyone - which is probably a a lot more apologetic than Ms. McKeith has ever been to all those women she repeatedly shamed and ridiculed on TV in her shows a few years back (we did watch those - research)!
ReplyDeleteOK--they cheated on the makeup and probably the Photoshopping, but the first woman did look like she overdid the fecal examination a tad.
ReplyDeleteHow can you compare a woman who had a face lift and breast implants (Nigella) to another who is under dressed and un-photoshopped (Gillian)? If this is what the premise of BC is, you can count me out!
