BEFORE I feel like screaming, eating, etc, then I can manage much better.Lannanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4510462680189297110.post-26103121216002944132011-05-20T19:24:32.819+01:002011-05-20T19:24:32.819+01:00Truffle 35 is absolutely right - I just finished a...Truffle 35 is absolutely right - I just finished a mindfulness meditation course and although we were encouraged to meditate for longer periods when possible, the '3 minute meditation' we learnt is really just tuning in by any other name. Also some types of movement (walking, yoga for example) can be done in a meditative way if you concentrate on experiencing the moment and focus, rather than thinking about something else.Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10042164331424052059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4510462680189297110.post-70389098611840097942011-05-20T11:48:41.559+01:002011-05-20T11:48:41.559+01:00Sophie. I agree totally - I used to work 3 days a week and thought that my 2 days 'off' were 'me time' and really resented it if I had a list of chores to do in that 'me time'. Recently I started work full-time and really worried that I would lose all my 'me-time' and to an extent, it is harder to get time to myself. But, like you, I have learned to value the small moments where I sit with a cup of tea and watch the cats playing in the garden, or lying on the sofa for a few minutes and just totally relaxing ... bliss!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4510462680189297110.post-20141824468016739802011-05-19T11:35:35.282+01:002011-05-19T11:35:35.282+01:00Sophie, may I suggest that you already meditate, t...Sophie, may I suggest that you already meditate, that you don't need a teacher or CDs or anything to do so - you do it without knowing it: tuning in is a sort of meditation! 'Me time is when I sit and knit another dishcloth without thinking about anything much.' It's the 'without thinking about anything much' that's the meditation part. Wonderful, isn't it?!Truffle 35noreply@blogger.com
